Our Marriage Ministry’s purpose is to assist couples in every stage of a God-honoring marriage by focusing on commitment, intimacy and growth.  If you are interested in growing your relationship with each other and with God, we offer several opportunities.

Premarital Process:

Are you newly engaged and interested in the premarital process at our church?   We are very intentional about marriage preparation for couples in our church who plan to marry.   We utilize the FOCCUS survey, a “Together Forever Weekend” and extensive premarital counseling.   The process begins with the FOCCUS survey.   To take the survey, contact Melissa Tisdell at 341-3602 Ex. 225 or   mtisdell@fpcedmond.org

Marriage Mentoring Ministry:

At First Presbyterian of Edmond we offer a Marriage Mentoring Ministry whereby nearly and newly married couples are guided and encouraged toward healthy, growing marriages by a relationship with a trained lay couple.   The church actively enlists and equips select lay couples to train for this important ministry.   If you would like to be assigned a mentor couple or would like to participate in this ministry as a mentor couple, please contact Mona and Steve Earnest @ 844-2615 or msearnest@cox.net


Marriage Events-- Workshops and Retreats:

Throughout the year, we offer group opportunities to strengthen and refresh marriages in our congregation.  These events include an annual marriage retreat, “Tune-Up” workshops with professional marriage counselors, Date Nights, etc.   For more information, contact Rick and Veta Roberts at RickVetaRo@aol.com or 396-8264.  

Marriage Restoration/Reconciliation:

Our pastors are always willing to counsel with members of our congregation when marriage difficulties occur.  Please call a pastor at 341-3602 for a confidential appointment.
